HAMILTON, ON, Sept. 29, 2026 – Canadian footwear brand Baffin has released MIST, a new lightweight winter boot for women and the latest addition to its best-selling Ease Collection.
MIST is the first style in the collection to feature a lace closure. It has a mid-height, breathable nylon shell, a D-ring front lacing system, and a pull loop at the back for easy entry. Its multi-layer inner boot combines a soft wicking lining, a foam comfort lining, and lightweight hollow-fibre insulation designed to stay breathable across a range of temperatures.
For traction, the boot uses Baffin's IceBite® compound for slip resistance on ice, with Polar Rubber™ at the heel and forefoot for grip and durability. A reinforced toecap adds abrasion resistance, and a removable anti-fatigue insole provides extra comfort for extended wear.
"MIST is designed to bring together the comfort you want for everyday wear with the performance you need when winter conditions become more demanding," said Jessica Liut, Baffin's Vice President of Marketing.
The boot is rated for moderate to high activity in snow-covered conditions with temperatures from -10°C to -30°C (14°F to -22°F), and is waterproof and breathable.
MIST comes in Black, Coastal Grey, Crimson Red, and Sky Blue, in women's sizes 6 to 11. It is available internationally on Baffin.com and at retailers across North America for $185 CAD ($192 USD).
