KeaBabies, a baby and parenting essentials brand, has found that hands-free babywearing may help parents manage household responsibilities, work and personal care while keeping their babies close. In a September 2026 survey of 250 parents and guardians of children aged up to two, 47.6% said babywearing saves them at least one hour on a typical day, while 83% estimated time savings of at least 30 minutes.
The survey, commissioned by the US-based brand, also found that 96% of respondents experienced less stress when using hands-free babywearing, highlighting a potential consumer benefit for products designed around the practical demands of modern parenting.
Among respondents, 72.4% said they could prepare a full family dinner while babywearing, while 54.4% could clear their inbox or work on a major project. Another 42.4% reported being able to participate in a phone or video call, and 38% said they could manage an older child's emotional outburst or homework session.
Parents also used the time for personal activities. Some 72% reported taking a short outdoor walk, 61.6% eating lunch without interruption, 61.2% reading or taking a mental break, and 60% enjoying coffee or tea with both hands free.
“Babywearing gives parents the freedom to keep their baby close while still being able to move through their day,” said Jane Neo, co-founder and chief brand officer of KeaBabies.
Founded in 2017, KeaBabies develops baby and parenting essentials, including its Original Wrap Carrier. The findings point to the practical value parents place on products that support caregiving while allowing them to manage everyday tasks.
The results reflect responses from a relatively small, brand-commissioned survey and are not necessarily representative of all parents. They nevertheless offer consumer insight into the convenience and emotional benefits users associate with hands-free babywearing.
