RIGA, Nov. 3, 2026 — Temu has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Latvian IT Cluster (Latvijas IT klasteris), formalizing a partnership aimed at giving Latvian small and medium-sized enterprises wider access to digital tools, training and cross-border e-commerce channels.

What the deal covers

Temu will join the cluster’s programs and activities, run educational webinars and trade insights with local industry experts. Temu is also now a member of the cluster, whose chair, Aiga Irmeja, said international players strengthen the ecosystem and Latvian firms’ competitiveness.

Already in motion

The two sides held a webinar on Oct. 20, “The Path to Growth: Navigating E-commerce for European SMEs,” attended by businesses from multiple sectors. Sessions covered Temu’s Local Seller Program, logistics, regulatory requirements and a Q&A with company representatives.

Context

  • Temu opened its Local Seller Program to Latvian businesses in October 2025.
  • In March 2026, it signed a logistics MoU with Latvijas Pasts, the national postal operator, covering delivery and returns for local sellers.
  • Temu says the focus on guidance and dialogue targets “complexity” and “connection,” two growth barriers identified in its Small Business Insights Report, based on talks with more than 100 European trade organizations.
  • The Latvian IT Cluster has about 100 members and 20 years of experience, and is involved in the European Digital Innovation Hub, Digital Europe, Team Latvia and AI Studio.
