NEW YORK, Nov. 3, 2026 – Manufacturer-to-Consumer (M2C) platform BLACKSHEEP.io has announced a nationwide expansion beyond eyewear. It is moving into apparel and mass-market fashion, plus consumer technology, baby and parenting products, pet gear and athletics. The company says it is bringing a factory-direct pricing model to categories dominated by large e-commerce marketplaces and ultra-fast-fashion platforms.

Fashion price points

In fashion, BLACKSHEEP is advertising mass-market apparel from about $2 and 100% Grade-A Mongolian cashmere at about $40. For comparison, the company’s eyewear offer prices frames from about $2 and prescription lenses from about $5. It says the optical business, which it promoted through a TODAY Show segment, was the proof of concept for the wider rollout. All figures are the company’s own, and the announcement doesn’t specify garment types, fabric compositions or order minimums.

M2C versus the marketplace model

BLACKSHEEP positions itself against traditional marketplaces, which it says connect consumers with traders and sellers. Its M2C model aims to link buyers as closely as possible to the factories that make the goods. The company argues this removes layers of trading, distribution, inventory and retail markup that are normally built into the final price.

Founder Pierre Wizman framed the strategy as a pricing-transparency play. “We are not trying to sell cheap products,” he said, adding that the aim is to show what goods cost before retail layers are added.

Demand-led production

The company also highlights a “zero dead-stock” approach, using demand-led production where manufacturing allows. Production is triggered or guided by real customer orders, which it says reduces speculative inventory, warehousing costs and unsold goods. For fashion, where forecasting errors and overstock are long-standing cost problems, this is a central part of the pitch.

Independent, with a global network

BLACKSHEEP describes itself as operating without venture capital or institutional investors. It says it connects consumers directly with industrial manufacturers across optical, apparel, electronics and everyday goods. The expanded catalog is rolling out through BLACKSHEEP.io.
