Kohl’s Names Elliott Rodgers as New COO

The US retailer Kohl’s announced on Monday that Elliott Rodgers has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer, reporting to CEO Michael J. Bender. A former US Army Captain, Rodgers brings more than 20 years of leadership experience to the role, including six years at Target. He will oversee Kohl’s enterprise operations, including more than 1,100 stores, along with the Global Supply Chain and Distribution Centers.

“With more than 20 years of leadership experience in retail and large-scale operational roles, Elliott has helped brands navigate through change, embrace innovation, and drive results through operational execution,” said Bender. “I’m excited for Elliott to take on this important role during a time of exciting change and opportunity.”

Regarding his new role, Elliott Rodgers said, “I’m energized by Kohl’s commitment to serving its customers now and for years to come, and I look forward to contributing to the work the teams already have underway – creating a compelling customer experience and paving a path for the future.”

Rodgers, who most recently served as Chief Operations Officer at Foot Locker, also worked for three years as a Vice President at Citigroup. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the US Military Academy and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Kohl’s (NYSE: KSS), a leading omnichannel retailer, operates stores in 49 US states and handles online sales at Kohls.com. The company’s annual revenue was reported at $15.5 billion last year, with major portions of its revenue coming from the sales of clothing, footwear, and accessories.
