TCF POST Report
DHAKA – Zaber & Zubair (ZnZ) Fabrics Limited, a global leader in textile manufacturing, has officially opened the 18th edition of its signature “Fabric Week.” The ongoing exhibition showcases a new era of sustainable production, drawing significant interest from international brands and retailers.
This season, ZnZ is presenting its Autumn/Winter 27/28 collection, a forward-looking portfolio comprised of 290 distinct fabric qualities. The lineup features 240 brand-new products alongside 50 pioneering textile innovations, reinforcing the group’s commitment to cutting-edge design and environmental stewardship.
Pioneering Sustainable Washing
Addressing the industry’s environmental footprint, Md. Shafiqur Rahman, Executive Director of Zaber & Zubair, highlighted the urgent need to move away from resource-heavy processes.
“Traditional overdyed fabrics consume massive amounts of water, gas, and chemicals,” said Mr. Shafiq. “In response, we are introducing a new line of non-denim woven fabrics utilizing advanced sustainable washing methods.”
To drive these improvements, Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals, is collaborating with ZnZ to integrate eco-friendly processing techniques. The group is also expanding its material science efforts, including the development of modern fabrics blending Merino wool, Mr. Shafiq informed.
A Diverse and Circular Portfolio
The Autumn/Winter 27/28 collection emphasizes responsible innovation, blending modern aesthetics with premium performance. Key product highlights include:
- Natural & Bio-based Fibers: Including Hemp and Pineapple fibers.
- Cellulosic Materials: Tencel, Viscose, and Ecovero products.
- Circular Solutions: 100% recycled products and sustainable recycled dyes.
- Functional Finishes: Advanced performance treatments designed for durability and comfort.
Scaling Global Impact
As one of Asia’s foremost manufacturers, the Noman Group maintains an impressive production capacity of approximately 38 million yards of fabric (including linen) monthly, with 10 million yards dedicated to specialized non-denim woven products under the ZnZ brand.
Following the success of its 17th edition, which hosted over 500 industry professionals, the current “Fabric Week” is on track to be the group’s largest yet. Organizers expect a turnout of 750 visitors, including international buyers, fashion designers, and sustainability experts.
“We invite all stakeholders to engage in the meaningful dialogues necessary to shape the future of sustainable apparel,” stated a representative for the group.
The event continues to serve as a pivotal platform for fashion brands to explore circular materials and innovative manufacturing alternatives.
