Byun Young-man, a former policy planning officer at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has been appointed as the standing vice chairman of the Korea Federation of Textile Industries (KOFOTI).
The organisation, which is dedicated to representing and developing South Korea’s textile and fashion industry, expects Byun to contribute to strengthening the competitiveness and sustainable growth of the textile and fashion industry.
“I feel a great sense of responsibility in taking on the important role of standing vice chairman of the Korea Federation of Textile Industries,” said Byun, who is set to join on the 15th of June for his three-year term. “I will do my best to enhance the competitiveness and ensure the sustainable development of Korea’s textile and fashion industry.”
A former director of the investment policy division at the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Byun most recently served as the standing vice chairman of the Korea Iron and Steel Association.
