TCF POST Report
Niber Technologies, a Singapore-incorporated advanced materials company with research and manufacturing operations in the Philippines, is currently leading a significant shift in the performance apparel industry. Founded in 2019 by Jaemin Park and Jaehyung Park, the company specializes in producing PFAS-free electrospun nanofiber membranes. As the industry faces increasing regulatory pressure to move away from PFAS-based materials, Niber is addressing this transition through a new strategic initiative aimed at redefining how high-performance textiles are developed and communicated.
The New Technology: Electrospun Nanofiber Membranes
Niber Technologies has developed a proprietary electrospinning platform that produces advanced nanofiber membranes. This technology offers a sustainable alternative to traditional materials, specifically designed to meet modern industry demands.
The benefits of this technology are centered on three key areas:
- It is PFAS-free, providing a critical shift toward safer and compliant material alternatives.
- The material is ultra-lightweight, engineered specifically for comfort and ease of wear.
- It is highly breathable, designed to meet rising consumer expectations for performance and everyday usability.
Strategic Evolution: Building an “Ingredient Brand”
Niber now aims to make complex technology more legible and accessible to the market by collaborating with the specialist consultancy BRAIND® and appointing industry expert Tomas Vucurevic as Chief Brand Advisor.
Looking ahead, Niber Technologies plans to combine its industrial-scale manufacturing capabilities with a structured brand architecture to strengthen its position in the next-generation performance textiles sector. The company is moving to provide the apparel industry with a credible, specifiable, and consumer-recognizable mark for ultra-breathable, sustainable innovation.
