NEW ALBANY, Ohio, Aug. 19, 2026 — Abercrombie & Fitch is expanding its multi-year partnership with the National Football League ahead of the 2026 season, widening the reach of its fashion-led sportswear assortment to fans across online, stadium and team retail channels.

Now in its second year as an Official Fashion Partner of the NFL, Abercrombie will offer NFL-branded apparel representing all 32 teams while increasing product distribution through a new partnership with Fanatics, the league’s e-commerce partner.

The NFL by Abercrombie collection will be available for the first time through NFLShop.com, NFL stadium stores, official team e-commerce sites and Fanatics.com, alongside Abercrombie stores and abercrombie.com. The broader distribution is aimed at positioning NFL fanwear as an everyday sportswear category rather than apparel limited to game-day use.

Sportswear moves beyond game day

The 2026 assortment covers men’s, women’s, kids’, baby and toddler categories, with hoodies, sweatshirts, T-shirts, outerwear and other casual sportswear designed to integrate team identity into everyday wardrobes.

Abercrombie will also introduce a regular cadence of product drops, including co-designed collections with NFL players and personal styling through its Style Concierge service. Select stores will carry expanded team-specific assortments tailored to local fan bases.

While the collection is primarily apparel-led, the expanded sportswear strategy places Abercrombie within the broader lifestyle opportunity around football fandom, where team merchandise increasingly overlaps with casual fashion and streetwear.

“Our customers are looking for ways to represent the teams they love while staying true to their personal style,” said Corey Robinson, brand president of Abercrombie & Fitch. “As fashion and sport continue to shape culture, we’re creating more ways for fans to bring their team pride into everyday style.”

Player-led sportswear positioning

Abercrombie’s 2026 campaign will feature NFL players including Drake Maye of the New England Patriots, Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings and Jaxson Dart of the New York Giants, alongside CeeDee Lamb, Cooper DeJean, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Jahmyr Gibbs and Malik Nabers.

The campaign will also feature women in sports and media, including content creators Ann Michael Maye, Emily Engram and Claire Kittle, as well as Diana Flores, captain and quarterback of the Mexico Women’s National Flag Football Team.

The focus on player styling reinforces Abercrombie’s positioning of NFL merchandise as fashion and lifestyle apparel, rather than conventional licensed team merchandise.

Fanatics expands retail reach

Fanatics will play a central role in the expansion by distributing the collection across its digital and physical retail network, including NFL Shop, Fanatics.com, team stores and stadium locations.

“The inaugural NFL by Abercrombie collection was a hit with fans, and we’re excited to build on that momentum in year two,” said Sam Archibald, chief merchandising officer of Fanatics Commerce. “Abercrombie brings a distinct fashion point of view to NFL product.”

The partnership also gives Abercrombie greater access to consumers already shopping within the NFL merchandise ecosystem, potentially increasing exposure for its broader lifestyle sportswear proposition.

International and major-event exposure

Abercrombie plans to activate the partnership around major NFL moments throughout the season, including tunnel walks, player arrival moments at selected international games and Super Bowl activations.

The strategy comes as the NFL continues to expand its global cultural footprint, giving fashion brands additional opportunities to connect sports fandom with lifestyle and apparel consumption beyond the traditional U.S. market.

Abercrombie said the 2026 partnership will focus on reaching fans “whenever, wherever and however” they shop, with expanded distribution complementing the retailer’s own stores and digital channels.

Footwear opportunity remains limited in the announced assortment: Abercrombie’s current NFL collection is centered on apparel, including casual sportswear and outerwear, with no specific NFL footwear range announced as part of the 2026 expansion. The broader sportswear positioning, however, places the collection alongside the increasingly blurred boundaries between licensed fanwear, lifestyle clothing and athletic-inspired fashion.
