TCF POST Report

NEW YORK — Amer Sports delivered a strong second quarter in 2026, with China and the broader Asia-Pacific region emerging as key growth engines as demand for its outdoor, technical apparel and sports brands accelerated across the region.

Group revenue rose 32% year over year to $1.63 billion, or 30% on a constant-currency basis, for the quarter ended June 30, as the company reported on August 18. Adjusted operating profit more than tripled to $208 million, while net income attributable to shareholders jumped 489% to $107 million.

China remains Amer Sports’ largest regional market

Greater China revenue increased 35.5% to $556 million, making it Amer Sports’ largest regional market by revenue and one of the company’s most important contributors to quarterly growth.

The performance highlights the growing importance of China to Amer Sports’ global expansion, particularly for its premium outdoor and sports brands. Greater China revenue was more than twice that of the wider Asia-Pacific region excluding Greater China, which generated $247.6 million, up 60.3% — the fastest growth among all regions.

Combined, Greater China and Asia Pacific generated about $804 million in Q2 revenue, accounting for nearly half of Amer Sports’ quarterly sales and underscoring the strategic weight of the region in the company’s growth story.

APAC delivers the fastest growth

Asia Pacific excluding Greater China was Amer Sports’ standout geography, with revenue surging 60.3% to $247.6 million. The pace significantly exceeded growth in Greater China and every other major region.

Amer Sports said growth was broad-based across geographies and channels, with CEO James Zheng highlighting Salomon Softgoods, Arc’teryx’s omni-channel comparable sales and Wilson Tennis 360 among the quarter’s key growth drivers.

The regional performance suggests that Amer Sports is gaining momentum beyond its established Greater China base as consumers across Asia-Pacific increasingly engage with premium outdoor, performance and lifestyle sports brands.

Arc’teryx, Salomon and Wilson drive regional momentum

At brand and segment level, Technical Apparel revenue increased 32% to $674 million, powered by Arc’teryx. Outdoor Performance was even stronger, rising 37% to $569 million, driven by Salomon Softgoods, while Ball & Racquet Sports increased 24% to $390 million, led by Wilson’s Tennis 360 initiative.

The combination of these brands gives Amer Sports exposure to several fast-growing consumer categories across China and APAC — from premium technical apparel and outdoor equipment to running, footwear and racquet sports.

DTC expansion strengthens the Asia strategy

Amer Sports’ direct-to-consumer business also continued to outpace wholesale. DTC revenue climbed 39.9% to $896.8 million, compared with a 23.6% increase in wholesale to $735.8 million. DTC now represents roughly 55% of group revenue.

The shift is particularly relevant to China and APAC, where Amer Sports is expanding its owned retail and digital presence alongside wholesale distribution. Across the company, owned-store growth remained strong, with Technical Apparel store count increasing 34% year over year to 305 locations and Outdoor Performance stores rising 39% to 355.

Asia becomes increasingly central to growth outlook

Amer Sports raised its full-year 2026 guidance to approximately 24% reported revenue growth, with a projected gross margin of 60.5%-61.0%, operating margin of 14.2%-14.5% and fully diluted EPS of $1.27-$1.30.

With Greater China growing 35.5% and APAC excluding China expanding 60.3%, Asia is increasingly becoming a central pillar of Amer Sports’ global growth strategy. The region’s contribution also provides the company with diversification beyond the Americas and EMEA, where Q2 revenue grew 25.6% and 20.3%, respectively.

For fashion, footwear and sporting-goods markets across Asia, the results point to continued consumer appetite for premium technical and performance brands — particularly Arc’teryx, Salomon and Wilson — and reinforce the region’s growing importance to Amer Sports’ next phase of international expansion.
