SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 19, 2026 — Stitch Fix has launched an exclusive capsule collection for teachers from 41 Hawthorn, its private-label women’s brand, offering versatile, classroom-ready clothing designed around educators’ everyday workwear needs.

The collection was developed after Stitch Fix analyzed thousands of teaching-related client requests ahead of the new school year. Nearly 65% of those requests mentioned comfort, while 57% cited practical needs including ease of movement, coverage, stretch or pockets. More than one-third (35%) requested outfits, coordinated pieces, capsule wardrobes or mix-and-match options.

The findings highlighted a gap between comfortable clothing and polished professional styles, according to Amy Sullivan, vice president of buying and private brands at Stitch Fix. The new collection aims to combine both, while addressing the practical demands of a busy school day.

The 41 Hawthorn capsule includes tops, pants, skirts, outerwear and a tote designed to be mixed and matched. Functional details include three-quarter-length sleeves intended to help prevent marker stains while writing on whiteboards, as well as layering pieces suited to changing classroom temperatures.

The collection is available in sizes 0–3X, including petite options.

As part of the launch, Stitch Fix is offering verified teachers $40 off their first Fix through Sept. 8. Educators can sign up, complete the company’s Style Quiz and verify their status through ID.me when placing their first order.

Stitch Fix combines professional stylists with AI and recommendation algorithms to provide personalized clothing selections, using a mix of exclusive and national brands.
