SAN FRANCISCO — As school-year routines send American mothers back into a daily rush of drop-offs, household schedules and work commitments, Stitch Fix is putting a fashion spin on one of the busiest moments of the day with an exclusive limited-edition collection from Favorite Daughter.
The online personal styling service has partnered with the fashion brand co-founded by sisters Sara and Erin Foster to create a capsule specifically for moms navigating the return to hectic fall routines. The collection transforms the familiar school drop-off run into its central fashion inspiration, offering easy pieces designed to make getting dressed faster without sacrificing style.
The launch comes alongside new Stitch Fix consumer research highlighting just how little time many mothers have for themselves in the morning. Nearly 90% of U.S. moms surveyed said they have skipped parts of their own morning routine to get their children out the door on time, while nearly 80% said they have less than 30 minutes to get themselves ready. The consumer findings are based on a June 2026 third-party survey of 1,000 U.S. mothers, commissioned by Stitch Fix.
That reality is reflected directly in the design of the Favorite Daughter capsule. Graphic tees and a cozy half-zip feature the playful “Drop Off Club” message, while “Favorite Teacher” styles pay tribute to educators who are an important part of family life. The pieces are designed to work effortlessly with everyday jeans, creating what Stitch Fix describes as an elevated, easy-to-wear wardrobe for the transition from the school car line to the rest of the day. The collections are available exclusively through Stitch Fix, where clients can request the pieces in their next Fix or shop them directly.
Sara Foster, co-founder of Favorite Daughter, said the collection was created around the reality that mothers often put their own dressing needs behind everyone else’s schedules. “We wanted this collection to celebrate all the roles moms are playing in a single day,” Foster said, pointing to school drop-offs, managing households and supporting teachers.
The capsule forms part of a wider Stitch Fix fall assortment aimed at helping busy mothers assemble complete looks with less effort. Exclusive seasonal offerings also include easy-to-style separates from Z Supply, varsity-inspired sweaters from Alex Mill and supportive sneakers from Dr. Scholl’s.
Amy Sullivan, Stitch Fix’s Vice President of Buying & Private Brands, said the expanded assortment reflects the company’s strategy of helping clients meet their style needs across categories
