TCF POST Report

WEST PALM BEACH, FL. — U.S. Polo Assn., the apparel, accessories, and footwear brand tied to the United States Polo Association (USPA), posted $2.7 billion in retail sales in 2025, a record year that has pushed it to No. 22 overall on License Global’s 2026 Top Global Licensor ranking and kept it in the top spot among sports-branded labels for a second straight year.

A Fashion Business Built on Sport

The brand’s apparel line spans menswear, womenswear, and childrenswear, sold through more than 1,200 branded retail stores and a broader e-commerce and wholesale network reaching over 190 countries. That footprint has made U.S. Polo Assn. one of the more widely distributed sport-heritage fashion labels globally, competing for licensing share against entertainment and lifestyle giants as well as rival sports properties.

The Polo Shirt Campaign

Central to the brand’s fashion positioning is its global marketing push, The Polo Shirt: An Icon Born from the Game, which frames the garment’s origins on the polo field as the foundation of one of fashion’s most recognizable staples. The campaign leans on the brand’s direct ties to the sport of polo as a point of differentiation from other casualwear labels that reference sport more loosely.

  1. Michael Prince, President and CEO of USPA Global, the company that manages the brand, tied the ranking to that positioning, saying it “reflects the incredible work being executed across our global business.”

Licensing Growth and Retail Trust

Molly Robbins, SVP of Global Licensing & Business Development for USPA Global, credited the brand’s expansion to pairing “a strong, consistent global brand with local market expertise.”

The apparel brand’s momentum has also been recognized outside the licensing world: U.S. Polo Assn. was named to USA Today’s Most Trusted Brands 2026 list, appearing alongside Nike, Rolex, Disney, YETI, and American Eagle Outfitters — a consumer-driven ranking based on trust, reliability, and customer experience.
