SINGAPORE — Asia Pacific Rayon (APR), a leading producer of viscose-rayon fibre, has teamed up with celebrated Indonesian fashion designer Toton Januar for the launch of his latest collection, TOTON 2027: KALA. Drawing inspiration from Javanese and Balinese mythology, the partnership highlights the evolving versatility and high-fashion potential of nature-based cellulose fibres.
The collection features 10 curated looks crafted from advanced viscose- and lyocell-based fabrics. By focusing on how material characteristics influence silhouette, movement, and structure, TOTON demonstrates how man-made cellulosic fibres (MMCFs) can be transformed into elevated, contemporary designs without compromising on comfort, versatility, or refined aesthetics.

As designers place a growing emphasis on material selection, the relationship between fibre, fabric, and design continues to steer the trajectory of modern fashion. The KALA collection underscores how eco-friendly, nature-based textiles can successfully meet both creative expression and functional performance expectations.
