Adani Partners with France’s Dioxycle for Low-Carbon Chemical Production

TCF POST Desk

NEW DELHI – Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL), the flagship company of the Adani Group, has announced a long-term strategic partnership with French clean-technology firm Dioxycle to develop and scale low-carbon chemical production in India.

The initiative marks a significant entry for the Adani Group into the chemicals sector, leveraging the company’s extensive renewable energy infrastructure alongside Dioxycle’s specialized, electrically driven chemical manufacturing technology.

The partnership will launch with a pilot facility located at an Adani Group site. This plant is designed to produce formic acid by utilizing captured carbon dioxide (5ae0b5df 0544 487a 8d4a 8e968aa4b460) and renewable electricity. Following the successful validation of the pilot, the companies plan to transition the technology to full-scale commercial manufacturing.

Formic acid and its derivatives are essential industrial inputs, with widespread applications in the textile, agricultural, and manufacturing sectors. By replacing traditional, fossil-fuel-based production methods with this circular approach, the project aims to demonstrate the commercial viability of turning carbon emissions into valuable economic assets.
