Barbie has unveiled a brand-new doll in the likeness of professional basketball superstar Angel Reese, alongside the debut of the Reebok Angel Reese 1 Basketball Shoes in an exclusive Barbie colorway.
The partnership was revealed at the TOGETHXR House immersive fan experience during All-Star Weekend, hosted by TOGETHXR, the fastest-growing women’s sports media company, of which Reese is a co-owner.
“Having my own Barbie doll is a true dream come true for me. It’s such an incredible honor because it’s about showing girls that there are no limits to what they can achieve,” said Angel Reese.
The Reebok Angel Reese 1 Basketball Shoes in the new Barbie-inspired design—which is also worn by Angel’s miniature Barbie doll—blend performance innovation with expressive style to match Reese’s dynamic on-court dominance and culture-driving presence off the court.
Nathan Baynard, VP and Head of Barbie at Mattel, said that as Barbie honors role models who inspire girls, it honors Reese through the Barbie Signature doll and collaboration with Reebok.
